US Congressman shares chilling warning about alien life

A Lawmaker’s Stark Warning

A U.S. congressman has issued a serious warning about what he believes could be a hidden truth involving extraterrestrial life, suggesting the nation could come “unglued” if everything were fully revealed.

Since entering Congress, Tim Burchett (R-Tenn.) has been one of the most outspoken voices on Capitol Hill pushing for deeper investigation into unidentified flying objects (UFOs), now commonly called unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP).

Calls for Greater Transparency

The Republican lawmaker has consistently argued that reports from military personnel and government agencies should be taken seriously—especially now that modern technology makes it easier to capture and document unusual activity in the sky.

In 2023, Burchett reportedly led efforts to form a UAP caucus in the House, collaborating with members of both parties who are demanding more openness from defense officials about what has been seen and recorded.

“There’s a Cover-Up”

After attending classified briefings in 2024, Burchett became even more vocal about his concerns. He pointed to the significant amount of taxpayer money spent investigating these phenomena as a sign that authorities view the issue as important.

“I think there’s a cover-up,” Burchett said, according to The Hill. “We’ve spent tens of millions of dollars studying this. Some departments have told us they have recovery teams, but they won’t release complete reports. Everything is being kept hidden,” he added.

Trump Pushes for Disclosure

Later, President Donald Trump announced plans to direct the Pentagon and other federal agencies to begin releasing government files related to UFOs and possible extraterrestrial life.

In a social media post dated February 19, 2026, he stated that due to growing public interest, he would initiate the process of identifying and declassifying documents connected to UAPs, UFOs, and alien life.

Obama Weighs In

Shortly after, former President Barack Obama addressed the topic during an appearance on a podcast hosted by Brian Tyler Cowen.

Obama acknowledged that unidentified aerial phenomena have indeed been recorded by military equipment but emphasized that there is no confirmed evidence of alien contact.

“They’re real, but I haven’t seen them, and they’re not being stored in Area 51,” he said.

The Truth About Area 51

Area 51 has long been surrounded by theories involving alien technology and recovered spacecraft. However, declassified CIA documents released in 2013 revealed the site was primarily used for testing classified reconnaissance aircraft during the Cold War.

“There’s no hidden underground base—unless there’s some massive conspiracy that even the president wasn’t told about,” Obama added.

Clarifying the Remarks

After his comments gained widespread attention, Obama later clarified his position in a social media post.

He noted that while the vastness of the universe makes the existence of life beyond Earth plausible, the immense distances between star systems make the likelihood of alien visitation extremely low.

“I saw no evidence during my presidency that extraterrestrials have made contact with us,” he explained.

Burchett Doubles Down

Despite those statements, Burchett continues to insist that key information is being withheld.

During an April 1, 2026, appearance on Newsmax, he referenced briefings he claims to have received from multiple government agencies regarding unexplained phenomena and possible extraterrestrial encounters.
