A divorce lawyer has gone viral after sharing five professions she believes women should be cautious about when considering a husband. Katherine Leonard, a U.S. divorce attorney with more than a decade of experience, says she has noticed patterns among some of the difficult cases she has handled.
According to Leonard, her list includes surgeons, military personnel, pilots, firefighters and police officers. She argues that these careers can involve long hours, time away from home, high levels of responsibility and environments where people are accustomed to being in control.
Leonard says surgeons may struggle with the transition from being in charge at work to sharing everyday responsibilities at home. She makes similar observations about military personnel and police officers, while suggesting that pilots and firefighters can face relationship challenges because of demanding schedules and time spent away from their families.
However, Leonard stresses that women should not automatically worry if their partner works in one of these professions, noting that there are “outliers on any kind of statistic.” Her comments have sparked a major reaction online, with some viewers agreeing based on personal experiences while others questioned whether a person’s profession can really predict how they behave in a relationship.
