Man Dies in Six Flags Roller Coaster Tragedy as Witnesses Describe Horrifying Scene

One person died and several others were injured after an incident involving the Goliath roller coaster at Six Flags Over Georgia on Monday, October 12. Riders were left stranded high above the ground as emergency crews evacuated the attraction.

Witnesses told local media they saw a man fall from the roller coaster, striking parts of the ride before hitting the ground. One rider recalled making direct eye contact with the man as he appeared to come out of his seat. Another witness said the man had been sitting next to a child.

Passengers on nearby rides described hearing screams, seeing people panic, and waiting for updates while emergency crews responded. The Cobb County Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit is investigating, and officials have not released the victim’s identity or further details about the incident.

Six Flags said it was deeply saddened by the tragedy and was cooperating with authorities. The company also temporarily closed several similar roller coasters at other North American parks as a precaution while the investigation continues.
